Vanishing Point
Vanishing Point is a project that examines reality versus perception. “Vanishing point” is a term in linear perspective that how parallel lines converge. It is a point that presents infinite depth. The existence of objects beyond that point will not have a visual representation. In this project, realism is a dynamic idea that constantly changes and moves through the existence of objects. An ordinary white Chinese bowl is the fundamental cultural signifier that carries the notion of existence through multiple forms and materials. Overall, the work creates a relational aesthetic that further examines the topic of perception and perspective.
